Entitled gym patron clashes with trainer over gym's video recording policy, patron needs to be escorted out of the building: 'I am six inches taller than you! You will not tell me what to do!'

Nobody likes that one person in the gym who treats the entire space as if it were an extension of their own apartment.

If you're that territorial about equipment and whatnot, then maybe you should consider exercising within the confines of your own living room. Otherwise, you are going to have to embrace the reality that not everything belongs to you. To that end, the world does not revolve around your workout.

In this instance, we have a deeply annoying patron who was already causing trouble for drawing too much attention to his own weightlifting. We're talking someone who grunted like a gorilla every time he did anything in the gym. This kind of performative exercising has unfortunately become all too common among people who seem to have nothing better to do than flaunt their muscle gains.

This patron, in particular, attended a gym where there were strict rules about no recording. It was well-known among every other patron, and yet of course, this was the kind of person who didn't think the rules applied to him. That would eventually change when a trainer finally called him out on this nonsense!

  • We cannot help but appreciate the determination of this trainer not to let this guy get away with breaking the rules. At this point, he was disturbing other patrons during their respective workouts, and if confronting him meant potentially losing a member of the gym, then so be it! It turned out not to be a big loss at all in the grand scheme of things. In fact, it only made the other patrons all the more loyal.
